Un modèle Qwen de dernière génération servi sur silicium domestique - le message est plus stratégique que technique.

Le fait

Alibaba Cloud a annoncé le déploiement de son modèle Qwen3.8 sur la puce Zhenwu (Tech in Asia, 24 juillet 2026). L'annonce fait suite à une série de mouvements chinois - CXMT en IPO, Huawei/CloudRobo, expansion Ascend - qui construisent, brique après brique, un stack compute distinct de la ligne Nvidia.

Notre lecture

L'important n'est pas la performance brute - les benchmarks tiers manquent à ce stade. L'important est le geste : un hyperscaler chinois qui sert son modèle phare sur silicium domestique valide publiquement que la substitution est passée du « test » à la « prod ». Chaque annonce de ce type resserre un écart de dépendance et rend plus coûteux, pour Washington, tout durcissement supplémentaire des contrôles à l'export : les leviers s'émoussent à mesure que la substitution progresse.

  • Les publications de benchmarks tiers (latence, coût par token, throughput) sur Zhenwu et, plus largement, les comparatifs de performance face aux alternatives Nvidia disponibles en Chine.
  • Toute mention d'ouverture de Zhenwu à des clients externes (Baidu, ByteDance, gouvernement).
  • Les prochaines annonces Ascend/Huawei sur l'inférence Qwen ou DeepSeek.
